Molly Hyaline

Born and raised on the asteroid mining colony of Ursz-Uthan, which was co-owned by her family. Molly has spent most of her life in space and in the company of several alien species, and is particularly glumsy in gravity. She was teleducated in aapplied astrophysics and geology in hopes that she might replace the aging surveyors on the colony. She also had a knack for designing and improving the software for mining robots. 

After her family was forced to abandon the colony due to increasing space pirate threats. Molly found herself adrift for several years, bumming rides on freighters where she has acted as everything from medic to xenologist, and working on a second doctorate. She was head-hunted by QRC shortly after completing her Ph.D. in Xenobiology.

Molly is chatty, gregarious, and prone to pranks. She is also absent-minded, distractible, and prone to just rushing in when her curiosity manifests.

After the disaster on Uuthan, Molly took command of the Thuvia, and took up the life of a tramp starship captain, while secretly investigating the Qath Research Combine. Her personality has become more subdued.

Austin Verrill

A former pilot for the "Flying Fith", a starfighter squadron for the Alliance Defense Force, Austin has been cybernetically enhanced over and over again as he piloted interceptors in hazardous missions after hazardous mission. His service ruined his health and left him world weary, but not the conplete wreck many of his companions are.

After his honorable discharge, Austin found he was fit for nothing but piloting tramp haulers, and given the tight margins he faced, he turned to smuggling pretty early in his career as a freelance. After losing some critical cargo for the smuggler kingpin "Gory" Jenkins, Austin found himself deep in debt and out of favor with Jenkins' syndicate. He was offered a chance at erasing his debt by helping molly hunt down lost AI-driven interceptors.

Braki Skiee

A crusader of the Radiant Chrysalis, Braki Skiee has been a hunter and destroyer of rival Ubul cults most of his life. He has elected to be part of his order so that his clan can live in relative peace and safety as the fight is kept from theit hallowed bayous.

His brethehern saw in him the growing g fang spirit - a love of combat and mayhem that is unbecoming of a holy Warrior. He was forced into a solo pilgrimage to find his more evolved self again. Instead, he found a life as a mercenary among the dry folk.

After witnessing both the wonders of the Enkindler atmospheric controller on Taxu II, and then being attacked by the deranged alien clone of Henry Ramurph, Braki Skiee felt a religious compulsion to be with his own kind and preach about the miracles and terrors of Enkindler technology, and ensure that the Followers of the Radiant Chrysalis will not get involved in the machinations of the Qath Combine.

Braki Skiee was kidnapped by the Qath Combine only a week after leaving the Thuvia. Molly's heroic rescue has left Braki owing a life debt to Molly.

Velle NX-8

Velle is a member of the Vath race, a species who have a rigid social structure where everyone is genetically engineered, trained, and augmented to do a job.  Misfits are barely tolerated. Most of the Vath found off of their colonies are outlaws.

Henry Ramurph 

Born in space on a gas harvesting drift, Henry Ramurph has been driven to see the Universe his whole life. He has worked as a docker, a mechanic, and a light-duty pilot on and off for a decade since he left home.

Henry Ramurph was killed on Taxu II. After being rendered unconscious by an alien artifact, he was dropped on a ruin's stone stairs, then crushed by flaming debris as a Qath interceptor bombed the dig site they were exploring.

Gael Ghelfi 

An Earth-born wanderer, Gael Ghelfi has been everything from a Con artist, to a thief, to to a gambler, to a space pirate, and has contacts in every Drift, pirate port, and sleazy settlement in the Alliance. But she has always managed to stay under the radar. She has scruples, and avoids jobs that cause excessive harm or mayhem.

These days she prefers to work the gray market, figuring out ways to make money on cargo that most crews won't carry. But she is  ot above the odd heist.

Gael Ghelfi died on Taxu II when she was killed by an heavy plasma sentry gun during her first mission on the Thuvia.

Marshall Montag

A former scout in the Azumi Skyguard, Marshall Montag was honorably discharged a few years ago and signed up to the Qaph Research Combine in order to use the same skills effectively.  He is a quiet, thoughtful man, who would rather live a peaceful life, but knows that a man must be dangerous to be able to be truly at peace.

Marshall Montag was killed on Uuthan on Jul. 14th, 2307, severely by the psionic entity G'gix, then killed by a concussion blast from a low-yield rocket.

Hugo Cabret

Born on the Ocean plant torrent, Hugo spent most of his youth working with his father on the  sea skimmers that enabled movement between the colonies. He developed a great reputation in the motorcade of the colony, and became the preferred pilot  for the planet's Oligarch after he managed to evade the attack from one of the planet's superpredators. Lord Thrays was so impressed that he had Hugo trained as a suborbital pilot, and eventually the pilot of his orbital yacht.

When Thrays terrible mismanagement of the planet's economy had him deposed, Hugo managed to rescue some of the Oligarch's family in a star cutter, and flew them to a friendly space station. Ther glowing recommendation landed him a piloting job with QRC.

Hugo is a fitness nut, gourmet cook, and big on self improvement. He has a stack of books on history, philosophy, and classic literature in his bunk; many gifts from the Thrays family. He is full of aphorisms and sayings he learned from his Dad.

Hugo Cabret was killed on Uuthan on Jul. 14th, 2307 by a misplaced laser blast from the cannons of the Dejah Thoris while attempting to save him from death at the hands of the psio ic entity G'gix.
